Three East Africa countries is going to build a high-voltage power grid interconnection project

Zambia, Tanzania and Kenya plan to invest 1.4 billion dollars in the construction of high-voltage power grid interconnection projects in 2018, which include a 400kV line about 2300km and a 330kV line about 373km.
This project aims to strengthen regional power trade, to ensure the supply of electricity and to promote regional integration. After complection, the South African power and the East Afircan power will get connected together, and the power supply can be ensured by sharing.
