The difference between silicone rubber cable and rubber sheathed cable

Silicone Rubber Cable and Rubber Sheathed Cable are two different types of cables, each with different characteristics and application scenarios.
1.Silicone Cable:
Silicone cables have excellent temperature resistance and can withstand high temperatures (up to 200°C) and low temperatures (down to -90°C).
They are extremely flexible and can maintain their properties even in extreme temperatures.
The mineral nature of the silicone material makes it ideal for flame-retardant cables required to maintain circuit integrity. In the event of a fire, a layer of quartz glass film will form on the conductor to provide additional insulation.
Silicone cables also have good oil resistance, chemical resistance, and weather resistance.
2.Rubber Sheathed Cable:
Rubber sheathed cables are commonly used in household appliances, power tools, and various portable electrical equipment for AC rated voltages Uo/U up to 450/750V.
They are designed to withstand mechanical and chemical stress, suitable for outdoor work, and resistant to oil and dirt.
Rubber sheathed cables come in different types, including light, medium, and heavy, to suit different external forces and environmental conditions.
The long-term allowable operating temperature of rubber sheathed cables is usually no more than 60°C.
When selecting cables, whether to use silicone cables or rubber sheathed cables should be determined based on specific application requirements and environmental conditions. For example, if the cable needs to be used in a high temperature environment, silicone cables may be a better choice; while if the cable is mainly used for household appliances or tools, rubber sheathed cables may be more suitable.
In outdoor environments, Silicone Rubber Cable is generally more durable.
