The load that the common wires in the room can bear

Wire load is what everyone pays attention to before buying wires. At present, the commonly used wire specifications in life are 1 square wire, 1.5 square wire, 2.5 square wire, 4 square wire, 6 square wire, etc. How much can these wires load? Let's take a closer look at how many watts can be loaded by 1, 1.5, 2.5, 4, and 6 square wires.

1. How many watts can 1 square wire load

An "empirical formula" commonly used by electricians: As long as it is a copper-core wire, each square millimeter of the cross-sectional area can safely pass the rated current of 4--5A; in a 220V single-phase circuit, the current is about 4.5A for every 1KW of power. About; In a 380V three-phase balanced circuit, for every 1KW of power, the current is about 2A. The above values can be calculated with physical calculation formulas and the results are very close. Therefore, in order not to memorize those "cumbersome" calculation formulas, electricians just need to remember these in their work. Then according to this algorithm, it is known that if the copper core wire with a cross-sectional area of 1 square millimeter is used in a 220V single-phase circuit, it can safely carry the current passed by a 1KW load; if it is used in a three-phase balanced load (such as a motor) In the circuit, it can safely carry the current passed by the 2.5KW load.

2. How many watts can a 1.5 square wire load

If the power cord is copper core wire, first, the maximum allowable working current for open wire installation is 20A, which is 4400 watts; the second is concealed steel pipe, the current is 16A, and the power is 3520 watts; the third is PVC tube concealed installation, the current is 14A, Then the power is 3000 watts.

3. How many watts can a 2.5 square wire load

How many kilowatts of power the 2.5 square wire receives? The load current value of the wire specified in the national standard GB4706.1-1992/1998, copper core wire 2.5 square millimeter 16A~25A about 5500 watts, aluminum core wire 2.5 square millimeter 13A~20A about 4400 watts 220VAC voltage does not exceed 10A for a long time, the most standard, and most of the time does not exceed 15A, it is considered safe.

4. How many watts can a 4 square wire load

The single-phase power supply is about 4.5A for 1KW, and about 36A for 8KW. The current carrying capacity of the 4 square wire (single plastic copper wire) is about 30A, which is smaller. Change the 6 square wire (single-run power supply). Your meter and brake must be replaced with larger ones. Don't need such a big power, the minimum is 4KW, it's ok. How many kilowatts of power the 4-square wire receives depends on whether you use 220v at home or 380v from the factory. If the 4-square wire of 220 can load 6 to 8 kilowatts.

5. how many watts can 6 square wires load

There is no direct relationship between the power line diameter and the transmitted power of how many kilowatts the 6 square wire can load. Generally speaking, a wire of 6 square meters is more than enough for air conditioning. Generally, 10x6+1x4 cables are used for maintenance power supply on construction sites. As for the current intensity, according to my construction experience, this kind of cable is generally controlled by a 63A air switch. A 6 square aluminum wire can load 6 kilowatts, and a 6 square copper wire can load 10 kilowatts.
